Had a Pathfinder session tonight. (Other obligations and last minute occurrences put the campaign on hold for a bit.) Remembered to brush up on the rules for weapon runes, forgot to brush up on the rules for disease. Last minute prepped a shop with runes for sale, some thematic but irrelevant equipment, and a service to transfer runes for the party for cash to bypass the crafting check. The smith also identified their cold steel warhammer for them, as they were considering selling it. After looking at its stats, the Thaumaturge decided to use it in place of their gaff.

Then the party went to face the enemies who handed their arses to them last time, and secured a pretty clean kill. Unnervingly, this puts them right next to the next level of the dungeon, when they still have 1/3 of the experience to the next character level remaining.

We passed the tipping point where it wasn't too annoying to do, and making the dropdown list match other alphabetical lists should make it easier to find ourselves. Althought this list does have Tanwen and Tanwyn, so maybe we'll see how that goes?

"I should DM X! But I don't really have anything to say to them so I'd just be bothering them."

"I should DM X about [thing]! But I don't really talk to them otherwise so I'd just be using them really."

Socialling is hard :(

Most embarrassing website change yet: Corrected Luna’s emoji after it being incorrect for over a month.

Also added my short bio. We’ve been keeping up well, 11/11 of us who’ve fronted since making the site now how short bios :3

Earlier I nearly asked someone if lighter fluid is tasty... Which is honestly a weird question, even for us. But y'know... it seems like it should be tasty?

I don't know why I have particularly strong kin instincts for our system, but it sure does result in some strange trains of thought.

Website now has a stories page

And with it, a story. One Tanwen wrote on Cohost, and UMBRA dug up a couple of weeks ago. Filling it out will be more long term, but that’s fine.

Absence

Past two weeks have been a mess. The weekend of the 30th was really busy, then about as we recovered from that we hit a three day powercut with the recent storm. This one did not get around to setting up her icon here, so did not end up posting. Oops.

Website update!

New short bios for Kharaya-do, Echo, and UMBRA—the latter two written while they were fronting, but not published because they were busy. Additionally fleshed out Kharaya-do's page a bit, and actually linked it. Before it just had her playlist and nothing else.

OSRS Leagues Day 2

(This post was composed with an attached image showing our Leagues stats. At total level 1,000 we have 82 Magic and 53 Ranged.)

This was meant to be a ranged build, but I’ve got some catching up to do. Golden God may be a little bit broken in terms of magic gains. And cash too. And I haven’t even got dragon yet, just rune skirts.

Otherwise generally ambling along. Tried to get autocasting ancients, but the ancient staff needs 50 attack so that’s off the table for now. Really wanna power through some more tasks to open up Asgarnia. That opens up some stuff that’s currently pretty annoying.

Speaking of annoying, I bought 20k blood runes 50 per click. (Ali Morrisane sells them in the Desert, if anyone is interested. You do have to complete a sudoku first.) Before realising I can’t autocast ancients yet. It was fun being a whole tier of spell above everyone else at pyrefiends. Fast defence experience too. Actually, magic rush and then fighting enemies who use magic is kind of interesting, because of the 70/30 magic/defence influence on your magic defence.

Went with the Clue Compass in the end, since it’s mostly slightly better than Bank Heist for reaching important places, and very very good on clues.

And sadly, I got crashed twice trying to kill Timmy in the Wizards’ Tower. Did get him the third time though, and kills weren’t too long with the bone crossbow.

Yes, @FaeAlchemist chose the alchemy relic. What else did you expect?

I mean seriously, I chose it for mechanical reasons—Tali’s alchemy maps better to Herblore than the alchemy spells. But then again, she is named Chrysopoeia… (The process of turning something into gold.)

Having another (slow, but so far pretty productive) stab at editing my avatar to be more me. In changing my teeth to be pointier, I've realised something—this avatar's tongue doesn't animate when you speak. The mouth changes shape, the jaw opens, but the tongue remains at the bottom no matter what. Adding functional tongue to the nice to have list, because animating that seems awkward, even if I technically have the skills to kludge something together.

I didn't notice that before because when we want to look inside an avatar's mouth live we tend to go for a big open aaaaaaa.

Thinking about being feral in VR

VR's always fun... but this unit did get hit in the theriab uncomfortables this week. Its avatars are a bipedal protogen, and an iffily ported umbreon model rip that's really set up for desktop. (And was also ported by a fascist.)

The proto is pretty good, overall. It even inspired this unit's mood ring colour changing. It's just... bipedal. And a bit fluffy. The umbreon on the other hand lacks physicality. The head only tracks on one axis. The body swings wildly behind the head. But also, VRChat's height modelling is iffy here. It's like, everything gets scaled down too small, because size and eyeline are tied when quadrupedal creatures are relatively large for our eyeline, compared to bipeds. Some avatars fix this by clipping you through the floor if you're standing, which feels weird, but is kind if sacrific you have to make. Sitting feels somewhat more comfortable anyway, except for the actual physical act of sitting.

But yeah, this unit's had enough of arms for tonight.

Not sure whether to do A Kingdom Divided to unlock thralls, or the solo Wintertodt achievment to unlock Ghommal's Hilt 1, which in turn gives improves rates of Warriors' Guild tokens for grinding out that dragon defender. Both are ultimately working towards the same goal, of improving our DPS. Once we beat AKD we'll also want to get ourselves a rune pouch too, for extra space efficiency...

Some uncomfortable stuff aside, this unit's dream last night had an interesting facet: it dreamt it was in our human body, but in the course of the dream had been granted (limited) generalised reality warping powers. It considered swapping to its umbreon body, but refrained from doing so for fear of scaring the tour guide. This did not stop its friend from walking onto a pond, freezing the water beneath their feet, and skating across it.

Still, this is the first dream we've been able to positively identify one of us as in control of our human body, and the first to feature both human and therian forms. (Fronting in dreams doesn't always match who fronted before or after the sleep.)

Had some bad news... We just feel tired. It feels like a constant pattern of the last... seven plus years has been putting in the work to get something started, then having it fall apart before we can recoup that effort.

It also feels like this unit has a knack for fronting when we're about to recieve bad news, even though it doesn't front very often.

Didn't feel like doing Legends' Quest right now, so instead did... Rogues' Den? Greenlogged it (got 5/5 rogue equipment pieces). This unit now understands why RS3 deleted this, but also it wasn't too bad.

Been thinking more about vore. While with hypno I feel comfy as dom or sub, vore I'm very much only a dominant pred, I think. Definitely not prey, but I also don't think I would vibe with a submissive pred situation.

The only reason we haven't done One Small Favour yet is Spoke was busy; but it did dibs the quest so I guess we'll do it in [unknown timespan].

It is cute to have a headmate who gets euphoric at the idea of a comically long fetch quest.

OSRS has one boss called the Hunllef, and one called the Nightmare (of Ashihama, but everyone drops that). This is very confusing for us specifically.
